ABOUT

THE BOOK

The Journey to New Life is a step-by-step discipleship roadmap that takes readers through seven stages of spiritual transformation.

While every story with God is unique, every believer’s journey with Jesus follows a similar path — it begins with surrender and ends in radical transformation. This book traces that journey, guiding readers through seven stages of spiritual transformation. Here are the seven stages:

  • Following Jesus starts with surrender. We don’t simply pray Jesus “into our hearts”; we surrender to Him as Lord and Savior. Humility involves recognizing our need for Him, turning from our old ways, and choosing to follow Him.

  • God’s will is that every believer live a holy life. Through the power of the Holy Spirit, freedom from habitual sin is not only possible—it’s expected for every follower of Christ.

  • God’s promises aren’t meant to make us comfortable—they’re meant to call us forward. From Abraham to David to the Disciples, God’s promises were not about personal blessing but about mission. Every promise of God is an invitation to join Him in the greatest mission ever launched—the advancement of His Kingdom.

  • Biblical faith is not just belief, it’s action. When God calls, we must respond with obedience, even when the path forward is unclear.

  • Trials will come as we seek to advance God’s Kingdom. But trials aren’t detours from His plan; they’re part of it. God uses suffering to strengthen our faith, forge perseverance, develop our character, and prepare us for greater leadership, responsibility, and stewardship in His Kingdom.

  • In today’s culture, even good things like “calling,” “ministry,” and “platforms” have become idols. In His love, God will refine our motives—killing selfish ambition so that we don’t advance our own kingdom, but His.

  • At the heart of our faith is this truth: It is no longer we who live, but Christ who lives in us (Galatians 2:20). The goal of this journey isn’t achievement, it’s conformity to the image of Christ. It’s learning to follow Jesus, letting Him live His life through us—by loving God through obedience and loving others through humble service.
