Not My Way is a step-by-step discipleship roadmap that takes readers through nine stages of spiritual transformation.

While every story with God is unique, every believer’s journey with Jesus follows a similar path—it begins with humility and ends in new life. This book traces that journey, guiding readers through the essential stages of becoming a true follower of Christ.

Here is the roadmap:

  • Following Jesus starts where pride ends. This stage confronts the "God complex" we all carry—the attempt to control our own lives. Through the story of King Nebuchadnezzar and the theology of surrender, readers learn that true strength isn't found in holding it all together, but in bowing the knee to Jesus. We don’t simply pray Jesus "into our hearts"—we surrender to Him as Lord and Savior, recognizing our need for Him, and choosing to follow Him.

  • You cannot follow Jesus if you are still holding onto your old life. This stage explores the necessity of true repentance—not just feeling bad about sin but actively turning away from it.
